COVID Visualization Dashboard

Our team is performing analytics and follow-on visualization of open source COVID data presented through an online dashboard for the general public. Data sources currently include OCHA HumData COVID-19 Case Data, data.world's COVID-19 Activity Dataset, and various OWID datasets. The goal is not just to re-present existing data. Rather, we are applying analytic techniques to the data to generate additional insights, then providing results in an easy to understand format (e.g., the similarity between countries' fatality and case curves, estimated curve bend dates, etc.) The prototype dashboard is available online at https://go.ncsu.edu/IAA-covid-viz. Click the "?" icon for a separate page with details on each dashboard tab.

Nice dash boards. Looks like intended use is downstream by receivers of public health data? Is additional functionality available to integrate reportable data elements to visualize different populations in addition to geographical aspects? (by age, profession-health worker type, etc.)

Yes, data being available, this can be done. Currently, data is provided only as an undifferentiated number per time period (day, week, etc.) so we'd need the additional attribute break-down, but implementing it is straight forward.
