Returning to the workforce during COVID

Design an all inclusive framework for building operations to manage people during COVID.  This includes the following:

1.  Temperatures of all people entering the building using digital scans as they pass through.  A reading can be sent to their email and alerts the front desk if they are over the above recommended temperature.

2. RFID tags for supplies (ex. toilet paper, sanitizer, other PPE).  This would be used to create a burn rate based on the number of people in the building for quicker replenishment.

3. Safety distancing locators through bodyheat scanners.  The resulting information can be used to find optimal distancing and  "danger spots" of large congregations.

The above metrics would be in a real-time dashboard that continuously updates building operations.

Symptomatic has noodled around with the idea of doing a municipal or building level environmental monitoring system, using FHIR. Sort of an outgrowth of what we’ve been doing with medical homes. Could put something together in fairly short order using Organization, Location, Device, and Location FHIR resources.

But I’m not sure it’s going to achieve the things people think it will. Temperature is a mediocre predictor of coronavirus, RFID tags might produce inventory visibility but they don’t prevent supply chain shocks, and location monitoring doesn’t solve fundamental building issues like whether the HVAC is negative pressure or not.

Idk. Half tempted to say we could put this together for you. Putting a prototype together would only take a few weeks. Would need to be paid though.

How would this approach meet COVID lab testing requirements and reporting in accord with CLIA, HHS, and other public health regulations? Or is this out of scope for your proposal?
