SAFE HEALTH Systems, Inc. (SAFE HEALTH), based out of Los Angeles, CA, and operated in partnership with the Mayo Clinic, was purposely created to lower the cost of routine diagnostic care at scale.

SAFE created the Digital Diagnostics Platform that enables rapid implementation and integration of custom connected care applications designed to increase accessibility to lab-grade testing outside of the point of care.

SAFE HealthCheck®, is an end-to-end testing and privacy-protecting health status verification solution designed to manage and prevent COVID-19 while safely mitigating corporate risk. The modular HIPAA-compliant solution is in use by leading organizations such as Arizona State University and Delta Airlines.

Trying to understand if there are preconditions met by other software. (In general) 1. How to collect AOEs, from ordering provider/patient/specimen collector 2. Integrate into app/LIS or other information source for patient to be married to results of IVD test device/system 3. All transmitted to public health (ELR) 4. All transmitted to HHS (may be met by 3).

Will your approach support all 4 or only portions of above for "tracking lab results"?

Thank you for your questions, sorry for the slow response!

1. The Platform includes Uber-like functionality for crowdsourcing telehealth provider services to enable near realtime review of asynchronous consultations and assessment of connected diagnostic tests (at the scale required for mass adoption). The "SAFE Provider" app also includes traditional voice/video telehealth functionality, ability to requisition confirmatory tests via interfaces/partnerships with Quest, LabCorp and Mayo Clinic Labs, ePrescribing via SureScripts, and making referrals to outside providers. User rating and AI performance tracking systems enable autonomous quality controls.

2. The Platform includes an interface engine that provides bi-directional electronic patient record interoperability, enabling users to import from and export to external health records to ensure continuity. There are direct API integrations with most EHRs, including Epic, Cerner, Athena, Allscripts, etc., which enable users to import or sync their patient portal (CCD). Safe Health is a Sequoia Project Carequality implementer, ebaling the platform to interface with the largest national health information exchange (HIE). There is also bi-directional integration with Apple HealthKit, and we are working to integrate with Common Health (the Android equivalent) now. The platform has certified HL7 interfaces with Quest and LabCorp LIS and scheduling systems, as well as Epic LIS, which facilitates the lab interface with Mayo Clinic Labs.

3. To enable electronic public health reporting requirements, the Platform is connected CDPH HIE via Carequality for federal, state and country reporting, which links to AIMS and most state/country reporting systems (like CalREDI).

#2 is where we can assist with integration of patient learning management with the ordering event. Our core tech HealthyTutor.com is applied knowledge management for consumer self management. Best to be collaboratively integrated and triggered within provider/facility LIS record logic via dx, ordered study, or standalone ordering. Online health manager and consumer dashboards that monitor the pace and process of the health education topic serve up automated reports for the health manager for no/slow compliance as well as core reporting for knowledge performance and overall risk by % with low knowledge areas. Again, some coding/integration will be necessary...as with any EHR system.
As noted in this thread, it's very important to begin the education process with the initial encounter for testing or dx or vaccination event. A healthcare authoritarian figure regardless of title/role that begins and oversees the consumer education journey at the encounter can increase awareness and compliance of self-paced education by more than 30% and achieve better related outcomes through applied self-management and knowledge. We're currently connecting health consumers and managers via email registration and client (health manager) accounts.

to add on.. our DiabetesTutor.com app also serves up a redirect page at the end of each session the offers hyperlinks to additional resources. This may be a good area to offer a selection of CDC, state and local sites, brochures, external videos for increasing CoVID, PPE, awareness and management.

Does SAFE interface with the Electronic Medical Record. EMR? If yes, are there only certain EMRs you work with?

We utilize a basic data set and can send delimited files, or fully formatted PDF files to host systems or they can pull from online dashboards when assigned. Customized integration is possible, the API would determine the ease of integration. Likely with any external software vendor apps here, some amount of engineering will be required to make transfer fluid with other vendor EMR/LIS. We have worked with Greenway (Sage) Entergy, in the past but for any EHR/LIS integration, we will need a deeper partnership and commitment or grant funding to fully optimize for this population particularly with the short fuse that is needed under the CoVID19 crisis!
