Patient Health Surveillance Ecosystem Portal (PHSEP)

•Provide a scalable, extensible platform for supporting health surveillance and monitoring for a range of key stakeholders across the care delivery continuum

•Ability to support a range of critical functions, from situational awareness (i.e. supply chain) through predictive analytics (i.e. quality measurement) in both emergent and steady-state environments

•Ability to gather high-fidelity data directly from patients and consumers

•Positioned to leverage current and evolving capabilities of cloud-native solutions

•Designed to avoid interoperability function and cost pitfalls that affect adoption, use and sustainability

•Allows for secure and private data sharing and/or data transfer

•Addresses need for  high quality care/disease management elements united with data developed during emergent situations (i.e. COVID-19)

•Platform/devices agnostic

•Supports standard-based technology message interchange up through semantically interoperable interchange standards

•Centralizes access to data needed for emergent/crisis events not currently available in existing “narrower” solutions

Interesting model. Like the visuals. Tell me more how the following would be supported with your approach (In general) 1. How to collect AOEs, from ordering provider/patient/specimen collector 2. Integrate into app/LIS or other information source for patient to be married to results of IVD test device/system (either lab performed or patient performed with home testing like pregnancy test) 3. All transmitted to public health (ELR) 4. All transmitted to HHS (may be met by 3).

Andrea,

1 - How to collect AOEs, from ordering provider/patient/specimen collector
-AOE = asked ordered entry
-I would recommend either ordering provider or specimen collector (would be hit/miss with patient themselves)

2 - Integrate into app/LIS or other information source for patient to be married to results of IVD test device/system (either lab performed or patient performed with home testing like pregnancy test)
-Website/portal; mobile app; LISwe support all

3 - All transmitted to public health (ELR)
-electronic laboratory reporting (popular in context of public health disease surveillance)
-it depends on the purpose of our ecosystem; if it represents a one-stop shot, I would think our system would link out to ELR

4 - All transmitted to HHS (may be met by 3).
-Yes we will support this through our Health Data Exchange using FHIR APIs

I hope this helps.

How would compliances, rule bases and structural integrity be modeled?
